Equipped for Any Future

Students select from a range of OP and Non-OP subjects in Senior School. Northside’s Vocational Education Department works with academic faculties to provide meaningful subject choices to students who choose to follow the Non-OP pathway, or would like to incorporate vocational learning into their OP pathway. Together with core studies in English Communication and Pre-Vocational Mathematics, Northside Christian College students are able to select elective subjects that will train and equip them for any future.

As well as providing nationally recognised training as a Registered Training Organisation, Northside Christian College cooperates with a range of other training providers to facilitate this training. These providers have included TAFE Queensland, the Brisbane North West Trade Training Centre, Charlton Brown and a range of other private providers of VET.

Structured Workplace Learning Program

The Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) program provides an opportunity for students to undertake un-paid work experience on 1 day each week in place of their 6th Senior School subject. SWL has been helpful in assisting students and their families make decisions about future career pathways.
