Junior School Co-Curricular

The rich co-curricular opportunities in Junior School offer our students opportunities to discover and develop their talents. 

Under 8's Day

A fun-filled morning for the early years students and their parents. This involves an exploration of art, play, movement, science and memory-making.

Imagining Innovations

Students learn to code simple to complex robots. They access a range of devices such as iPads, touchscreens, and Chromebooks.

Sports

The Junior School sports program provides opportunities for students to explore a variety of team and individual sports and provides the foundation for future participation in school sport.

CHUMS & PALS

Students in Years 5 and 6 befriend and support students in Prep to Year 1 through a mentoring program.

Instrumental Program

Students can choose from a wide range of instruments as well as voice and speech and drama on a fee-for-service basis.

CARE Program

Our Care program teaches students important attitude and character traits - those of Courtesy, Attitude, Resilience and Excellence. These attributes are woven into the fabric of Junior School.

Book Week

Book Week promotes a love of reading and books. It involves dressing up as favourite literary characters, engaging in crafts, writing workshops, and heaps more library fun.

Science and Engineering

Science curriculum is enhanced through special educational performances, projects and interactive opportunities.

Specialised Cross Country Coaching

Athletics Australia accredited coaches provide quality cross country and track and field specialised coaching before and during the competitive season.

Concerts

Every student plays a part in a joyful celebration of the biennial Junior School concert.

Cultural Days

Students learn about global cultures through experiencing foreign food, music, languages and activities.

Jump Rope for Heart

Annual Junior School event promoting fitness, fun and healthy heart awareness in support of the Heart Foundation.

Sponsored Child

Every year level supports a sponsor child by raising funds throughout the year. This sponsored child stays with each grade for the 13 years of schooling.

Choirs

Award-winning choirs in Lower and Upper Junior School give students opportunities to be involved in music, develop vocal skills and teamwork.
