People and Culture Manager

Northside Christian College, located in the inner Northern Brisbane suburb of Everton Park, is seeking expressions of interest for a People and Culture Manager. This is an opportunity to work as part of a friendly, highly professional and caring team supporting the College leadership and staff.

As a trusted point of connection in the College, the Manager is required to effectively build the people and culture capability of the College; lead and manage human resources functions; support and contribute to broader organisational and strategic management; and foster the Mission of the College.

This role is a part-time (minimum 3 days per week), or fulltime employment opportunity.

Key responsibilities include:

  •  Develop and execute Northside’s People and Culture strategy and policies
  •  Develop innovative methods and processes relating to recruitment, selection and on-boarding which are aligned to the strategic objectives and culture of the College.
  • Provide support to employees on human resources enquiries
  • Support and build a culture of excellence across the organisation including the development of the Performance Review and Development framework.

You will possess a capacity to build rapport and trust with a Christian character displaying integrity and transparency.

Early Childhood Teacher (Next Steps Kindy)

Part-time (5 day fortnight)

An exciting opportunity exists for an Early Childhood Teacher to join our dedicated team. A position is available for a Part-time, 5 day fortnight, Early Childhood Teacher, for commencement at the commencement of the 2022 school year. The successful applicant will lead team members in the room, teach, care for and nurture Kindy children and provide high quality care and education.

The successful applicant will:

  • Exhibit Next Steps Kindy’s genuine Christian commitment and care for students
  • Be dedicated to the philosophy and mission of Next Steps and possess the ability to work as part of a team
  • Plan and deliver a play-based program incorporating children’s interests which follows the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate and build positive relationships with children, parents and other members of the Next Steps Kindy team
  • Display an engaging and warm rapport with young children

  • An approved first aid, emergency asthma management and anaphylaxis management certificate
