Our Academic Record
Northside Christian College is acknowledged as a "School identifying substantially above average gain" by Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA).
Northside Christian College primary school is in top 1% of best performing Primary Schools in North Brisbane and Moreton Bay (Naplan 2016).
Northside Christian College's secondary school was ranked in the top 7% of Queensland schools in The Australian's annual school rating (2016).
While there are many measures of student success, attainment of OP scores is important for students wishing to continue to post-secondary education via QTAC.
Northside Christian College is proud of its students' OP results. OP scores range from 1 (highest) to 25 (lowest). In Queensland, approximately 35 per cent of eligible students gain an OP score of 1-10. At Northside, an OP of 1-10 is gained on average by at least 60 per cent of our graduates each year. A high proportion of those students are offered tertiary places in their first preference course.
It is widely acknowledged that it is students, not schools, who achieve results; however, Northside is very proud of the exceptional results our students have obtained and continually obtain in the national Numeracy and Literacy (NAPLAN) tests for Years 3, 5, 7 and 9.
Inclusive Christian Education
High school students may choose from two equally valid pathways: the Vocational Educational (Voc Ed) pathway, which leads ultimately to a trade through an apprenticeship, traineeship, or approved course; or for students wishing to continue to tertiary studies, Northside Christian College offers the OP pathway.
