In 2021 College staff continue to be actively involved in professional development. The theme for this year is “Building Living Cathedrals”, a vision for each of our students to become responsible servant leaders in the Kingdom of God.

As well as enabling each student to maximise their academic, vocational, artistic, sporting and leadership capabilities we desire to see students grow in a personal relationship with God and exhibit the fruits of the spirit including, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

With this in mind, we have developed ‘Our Momentum’ document, our direction for moving forward in the next 2 years (click below to view)

Building Living Cathedrals

Given that the quality of teaching staff is the most significant in-school factor affecting student outcomes, our aim is to provide opportunities for authentic professional growth of our teachers. This year our professional development is strategically aligned and grounded in the latest research.  It will include opportunities for Instructional Rounds, where observation of other teachers will enable further reflection on their own teaching practices. The goal is to develop a shared understanding of high-quality teaching practice. This will be supplemented by the nationally recognised self-assessment tools provided by the Australian Institute of Teaching and school leadership.

We are so thankful that our staff are continually committed to bringing their knowledge, passion and enthusiasm to all that they do, as this is essential to supporting our students on their educational and life journey.
