College Captains recently attended the annual Compass Schools Conference in Canberra over 4 days. Along with 180 other Captains from Christian schools throughout Australia, they were inspired to think deeply about the big questions of life. Through the Biblical themes of creation, fall and redemption, the students were encouraged to wrestle with how their faith, life and vocation connect.

Northside Christian College Captains at Compass Conference in Canberra

Our students listened to engaging speakers who challenged them to see how their faith applies to their daily lives, their current roles, future vocations and the issues of our world. These times of  connection and networking with student leaders from other schools around Australia gave them an opportunity to listen and share how different schools outlive their own unique sense of culture while “doing school”. Many new ideas and systems saw them come back to Northside with a desire to bring positive and informed influences to our community. Visits to the War Memorial, Parliament House and a bush dance in a working woolshed were additional highlights on the camp.
