Celebrating 40 Years with Worship and Prayer

What an incredible evening we shared together as a College community! Parents, students, staff, past parents, alumni and past staff all gathered to celebrate 40 years of Northside Christian College and to thank God for His goodness and faithfulness.

It was especially moving to reflect on the College’s beginnings. On the very night before Northside first opened its doors in 1985, the small founding community came together for a time of prayer and worship. Last night, four decades later, we stood in that same spirit - lifting our voices in gratitude for what God has built and seeking His blessing for the next 40 years.

The night was filled with heartfelt worship, powerful prayer, and a tangible sense of God’s presence. Stories of faith, perseverance, and answered prayer reminded us that the College has always been more than just buildings and classrooms - it has been a place where lives are transformed, families are blessed, and generations are raised to know Christ.

We are deeply grateful to every member of the Northside family, past and present, who joined us to mark this significant milestone. Together we look back with thanksgiving and forward with faith, praying that Northside will continue to be a shining light for Christ in the decades to come.

Prayer of Blessing

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with grateful hearts,

thanking You for Your faithfulness to Northside Christian College.

You have been our foundation and provider,

and we acknowledge that every good gift comes from Your hand. (James 1:17)

As we look ahead, we trust in You to guide and bless this College according to Your perfect will.

Lord, may we remain faithful to the calling You have placed upon us.

Keep us rooted in Your Word,

like a tree planted by streams of water,

yielding fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. (Psalm 1:3)

Let us be fruitful in all things.

Spiritually, academically, and in service to others, always bringing glory to You.

Holy Spirit, give us discernment as we embrace new seasons and opportunities.

Grant us courage to walk in obedience and humility to rely on Your wisdom.

May innovation and growth never come at the cost of faithfulness to Your truth, which lights our path. (Psalm 119:105)

Father, as You have provided for us in the past,

continue to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory. (Philippians 4:19)

Teach us to hold all things with open hands,

stewarding them well and sharing generously,

reflecting the heart of Christ.

Holy Spirit, we lift up our College Board, leadership team, and staff.

Fill them with wisdom and discernment as they make decisions that shape this College.

May they seek first Your Kingdom, (Matthew 6:33)

walk in unity, and lead with integrity, humility, and steadfast reliance on You.

Lord Jesus, we pray for our students that they grow into

Disciples of Jesus Christ who are Educated and Equipped for Any Future.

Rooted in faith and ready to serve.

May their lives bear the fruit of Godly character, shining as lights in the world.

Help them walk in integrity, love mercy, and act justly, (Micah 6:8) into any path you lead them.

We recommit to being Committed to Excellence so that in all things, You are glorified.

May students and staff alike be dedicated to excellence in learning, teaching, and living,

with their hearts set on honouring Christ. (Colossians 3:17)

And may Character through Christ be lived out daily so that others see Jesus in us.

Almighty God, of all time, go before us into the future of Northside Christian College.

Protect, provide, and prosper the work of our hands.

Keep us anchored in Christ, filled with Your Spirit, and faithful to Your mission.

May generations to come see this College as a place where Christ was exalted,

disciples were made, and lives transformed for Your glory.

We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
