On 17–18 September, educators from across Australia gathered at Campion College in Sydney for the Liberal Arts Project's Classical Education for Human Flourishing Conference. The two-day event brought together teachers, school leaders and scholars united by a shared vision of education that extends beyond academic achievement to the formation of the whole person.

Northside Christian College was proudly represented by Natalie Kennedy and Riley Langlands, both members of the conference organising committee. Natalie presented a paper entitled The Poetic Mode of Knowledge, exploring the importance of beauty, wonder, imagination and embodied experience in cultivating a richer understanding of knowledge and human flourishing. Riley facilitated a creative writing workshop, offering educators practical ways to nurture creativity and literary expression in their classrooms.

The conference also welcomed distinguished international speakers, including Dr Jeff Lehman from the Augustine Institute, Joelle Hodge, President of Classical Academic Press, and Dr Chris Schlecht from New Saint Andrews College. Their presentations contributed to rich conversations about the philosophical foundations, enduring traditions and contemporary practice of classical education.

The conference provided a wonderful opportunity for educators to exchange ideas, deepen professional friendships and reflect on the transformative purpose of education: not simply to impart knowledge, but to cultivate wisdom, virtue and a lifelong love of truth, goodness and beauty.
