Our Prep–Year 6 students took to the stage for the 2026 Junior School Concert, The Race, bringing an inspiring biblical message to life through music, song and movement.

Held every two years, the Junior School Concert is a much-loved opportunity for our students to perform together and share their musical gifts with our community. This year’s theme, The Race, explored what it means to run the good race — encouraging students to persevere, keep their eyes fixed on Jesus and live with faith and purpose.

Following weeks of preparation and rehearsals, our students performed three concerts, each to an audience of around 600 family members. Across the performances, each year level presented an imaginative musical piece filled with colourful costumes, energetic actions and memorable moments. It was wonderful to see every student play their part and step onto the stage with enthusiasm and courage.

The concert was a big week for our Junior School students, particularly some of our littlest performers, with a few well-earned yawns appearing by the end of the evening! We are incredibly proud of the commitment and joy they brought to every rehearsal and performance.

We are also so grateful to our families for embracing the experience alongside us. Thank you for helping with costumes, supporting rehearsals, bringing children along for the performances and cheering them on through the late evenings. Seeing hundreds of family members and friends filling the audience each performance made the occasion even more special.

Behind the scenes were many hours of planning, rehearsing and preparation. A special thank you to our Junior School teachers and Music teachers for the care, creativity and encouragement they gave our students throughout the journey, and particularly to Mrs Adele Kind, Coordinator of Performance, for her leadership in bringing The Race to life.

Congratulations to all our Junior School students on an incredible concert and for reminding us that the race of faith is one we run with perseverance, purpose and Christ before us.
