Northside Christian College participated for the second year in the Bond University National High School Mooting Competition

Two teams were entered, Declan Bengtson and Jaden Ussher from Year 11 and Olivia Rankine, Zachary Hull and Ashton Crown from Year 12 in a competition that consists of 120 High School teams nationwide. The journey for the 5 competitors and the other legal researchers began back in early February.

After many months preparing for their Moot (Mock trial), polishing, questioning and rehearsing in the art of legal rigour the time came to compete. Over two days the Northside representatives competed against independent Melbourne grammar schools.  The teams rose to challenge and put their best efforts forward conversing in legal arguments with a panel of judges, who are legal professionals.

We congratulate Olivia Rankine (Year 12) for receiving an honourable advocacy mention. The teams appreciated the support of Ethan Kuss (Alumni 2017) on the day of competition at Bond University.
