Northside Christian College has been recognised as one of Australia’s leading value-for-money private schools, ranking #3 in Queensland and #15 nationally in a major education analysis published by the Courier Mail on 15 February 2026.

The ranking appears in the article “Australia’s Top 100 Affordable Private Schools ranked: Schools providing an exceptional education with average fees of $10k or less”, which identifies schools delivering strong educational outcomes while keeping average fees below $10,000 per student.

The analysis, conducted by News Corp, examined official MySchool data to assess more than 800 eligible private schools across Australia. Only schools with a minimum enrolment of 100 students and average fees of $10,000 or less were considered.

Using school finance and education data, schools were ranked through a weighted formula that prioritised academic achievement while also taking into account:

  • Year 7 and Year 9 NAPLAN performance

  • Student attendance rates

  • Student–teacher ratios

  • Levels of socio-educational advantage (ICSEA)

  • Class size and student engagement

Statistical techniques were applied to handle outliers and ensure accuracy across the dataset.

Among Catholic, Christian, independent and other faith-based schools nationwide, Northside Christian College placed #3 in Queensland, with only eight Queensland schools making the national Top 100 list. Northside’s inclusion highlights the College’s ability to combine strong academic outcomes with accessible fees for families.

For Northside families, this recognition reflects the College’s ongoing commitment to providing a Christ-centred education that nurtures faith, character and academic excellence, while remaining financially achievable for a broad range of households.

For prospective parents, the ranking offers independent, data-driven reassurance that Northside delivers both quality and value, positioning it among Australia’s most effective and affordable private schools.
